Post-consumer refers to materials that people have actually used and recycled instead of discarding to landfills. 

Factory waste that is recycled instead of being discarded.

By switching our product hangtags to 100% recycled paper, JanSport has reduced 739 trees annually in addition to using eco- friendly vegetable ink and a water based varnish.

JanSport has Global Recycled Standard Certification for the 100% recycled polyester and 100% recycled nylon. 

JanSport uses 100% recycled polyester Cordura. The process used to make recycled polyester yarn has a lower impact on climate change than the equivalent virgin polyester. 

Foam is traditionally used in the back panel and straps, it was removed in order to make the Recycled SuperBreak packable. 

Taking advantage of sophisticated recycling technology, plastic bottles go through a manufacturing process that transforms them into high-quality spun polyester yarn.
